WORKBOOK & VIDEO CURRICULUM

This is a ten-week consecutive group. The group leader has been extensively trained to facilitate this group and offer Christ-centered supportive care.

  • Group size is limited to eight participants.
  • Cost is $65.00 per group session; $650 for the series.

The curriculum of “In the Wildflowers” was written by Julie Woodley, founder of Restoring the Heart Ministries, Inc., a Christian ministry based in New York for all those who have suffered from life traumas. Each week of the group focuses on a particular stage of the healing process.

“Every victim of sexual abuse deserves a safe place to tell her story without being judged. Every woman has the right to ask questions she holds deeply in her heart, but she needs to do it with others who will understand and not shame her or rush in with platitudes that will silence her. Every woman needs to express her negative thoughts and her questions so that they lose their power over her and so faulty thinking can be identified.” Wendy Mahill

Topics include: sharing stories of survival, releasing shame, internalized messages, healing from parent wounds, accepting responsibility for healing and recovery, forgiveness, discovering personal identity and strength, healing through God’s love, and ministering to others.

To qualify for registration, all participants are required to have an intake interview appointment as well as be involved in individual counseling. To register for the group, contact Catherine Hunter Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Addictions Counselor at 847-550-0395 x2.
